Seeing and being seen is key for pedestrians who are out and about after dark. The winter months are especially dangerous. In Germany, forty percent of all traffic accidents in which pedestrians are fatally injured occur between November and January. Often, drivers simply don’t see walkers or runners in time.Safety expert Guido Spinnen takes jogger Clemens Grüter out for a ride to test how far away pedestrians can be spotted at night.
